Student Wellbeing

Our school is committed to providing a safe and happy environment for all students, staff members and community stakeholders. Our school utilises the “Calmer Classrooms” approach to student welfare and positive behaviour management.

The School Chaplaincy Program provided by ACCESS Ministeries enables the opportunity for students to speak about various issues to a trusted member of our School Community/ Chaplain. The Chaplain works with small groups of children and individuals to help with leadership; socialisation; problem solving; team building; and anger, grief or loss issues.

In an effort to reduce children’s exposure to harmful UV radiation, we have a No Hat, No Play rule. Our grounds have a variety of shady trees and covered play areas for children to play under.

We value and promote an active life and are proud to be a Blue Earth school. This program encourages positive experiences in movement, working with others and self-reflection and reinforces our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience.

We participate in many different sporting events within our cluster and hold our own special events.
